Embracing Wholeness: A Call to Women
Recently, I've found myself drawn to reflect on the journey of women and the essence with which we navigate life. This introspection takes me back to a poignant moment when my daughter embarked on her first menstrual cycle. It was a time when I felt compelled to gather the women in my life, forming a circle of community to guide her into this significant phase of womanhood. Now, with my daughter approaching her 17th year, I look back and recognize the pivotal role those women played in her growth. Their presence, support, and wisdom provided a protective covering that bolstered her through every challenge she encountered.
As I reflect on my daughter's journey and the women who surrounded her, I am reminded of the profound importance of this support system. I am deeply aware of the divine covering that both my daughter and I have received from the matriarchs in our lives. Yet, I cannot ignore the reality that many women lack this essential covering. Instead, they seek validation and fulfillment through relationships, social media, or other external sources, grappling with the void left by unavailable parents or past traumas.
However, amidst this realization, a stirring emerges within me—a calling for a generation of whole women. These are women who not only seek personal freedom and love but also extend that love to other women, fostering healing and empowerment. It's a recognition of the intergenerational wounds carried by women who were deprived of the opportunity to evolve into their fullest selves. And now, it's our collective responsibility to break this cycle and pave the way for a future where women can thrive, supported by a network of sisterhood and empowerment.
This stirring in my spirit ignites a passion to cultivate a community of women who are unapologetically whole, embracing their past, present, and future selves with love and authenticity. It's a journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment—a journey toward becoming the radiant, empowered women we were always meant to be.
