Celebration Of Women
Oh how I love being a woman! When I think of our pulchritudinous splendor, the ability to bring lives into the world, and how we are built like countries, I am reminded of an immigrant exiled from their home. Lost but not forgotten. The amazing truth is that most women don’t know who they are because of one simple truism…we have given away our power!
I remember vividly the day I relinquished my power to a person who might have been worthy of it at a later date had I fully understood the sovereignty I held. I was young and like most girls felt the need to surrender, assimilate, rendering myself dependent on another human being to remind me of who I am. Never allow anyone to give you something you already own! So I accepted notions of gratuitous visitations to my womb by people that never properly vacated the premises. You do know that some people come with the intention of wreaking havoc to the place you call “home”.
I believe wholeheartedly that every woman needs to love herself from the inside out before she ever enters a relationship. I believe unequivocally that every woman should work and be able to take care of herself even if she never has to (some people will catch that later). I believe passionately that women should be able to be loved just as much as they are protected and provided for. I believe enthusiastically that women should protect their womb and not allow just anyone to occupy the space because of the sacredness of it. You do know that all of who we are and ever will be is stored in our womb. I believe one hundred percent that once women learn that our need for validation, affirmation, and love should never come through the constant assault of our womb from unwelcomed visitors, only then will we have more fulfilling relationships. I hope we become midwives who help educate the new generation of women to remember to always belong deeply to yourself before loving someone else
How many times have you given your power away?
